The freshly grounded coffee is wafting through the air competing with the freshly baked muffins. Sitting there sipping your perfectly made latte complete with Mona Lisa latte art you think I could do this. Next week you sit in the same café and get a warm smile from the owner working behind the machine and think she looks like she’s having fun laughing and chatting. Stuff working behind the desk getting fat. I want to move around, make coffees and banter all day with happy people.
Three years later you walk into your Café at 7am thinking where did I go wrong?
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Owning and running a café has been a wonderful ride full of excitement and fun but it is a rollercoaster. It’s bloody hard work especially when you have never done it before.
