The road to successful cafe owner is filled pot holes, detours and wrong turns. It's true, through mistakes we learn, that's life, however some some can be avoided all together.
You've seen that look. I am over it, from people working behind the bar. Often that is the owner who is working hard to pay the bills. While the books say pay yourself first, I know I couldn't sleep until everyone else had been paid. The owners carry the financial burden as well as everything else, they put their time, money and often family on the line.
My passion is about helping and connecting people. Step back and look what is really happening in cafes. Not only are they where you get your coffee fix, they are places where people share experiences, loves found and lost, wins and losses or just a bloody good cuppa. I want to help new owners dodge some of these pot holes. For the love of coffee, share this with anyone remotely considering opening a cafe.
